Sunday Memories

Sipping tea at Grandma's on Sunday. Listening to my future mother-in-law speak rapid-fire Italian to her mom, and having absolutely no clue if they were talking about me! Mom and Grandma were very animated when they spoke, so I knew when the topic was heated, I was safe; heated discusions were reserved for my mother-in-law brother's and invariably involved the farm, and executer-of-the-estate issues.

Funny how a simple tea cup and saucer can bring back warm soft memories and the hard edged ones too.
