Sunday at the Wine Garden

Located in Defiance, Missouri, Wine Country Gardens is a perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon. The century old farm turned wine garden overlooks the Missouri River Valley.  Yes, life is just about perfect when surrounded by good friends, excellent wine, entertaining music and nature. Bliss.
Love the dainty asylums spilling over the sides of this bird bath.

Hydrangea's, daylillies, a dry fountain overflowing with color, a bird,  and a hillside vineyard.

The grapes are looking good.

Wine Country Gardens is known for their fields of daylillies. A stag-horn fern is on my want list--if I had that conservatory I'd be able to over winter one. The wrap around porch is a popular spot.

My lime-lite hydrangeas didn't bloom last year, so I pruned them up  bit and hopefully the blooms will return. Although this potted one is in full bloom, the garden assistant assured me it is still early for this variety. (Right) another row of beautiful daylilliles.

Playing with textures and words. Garden photography and Emerson go well together.
Until next time. Thanks for stopping by!
